What is Family Night?
A fun night for the whole family to gather and enjoy dinner and fun together! Bring your friends and neighbors too!
When and where is Family Night?
September 26th Tempe 5:30-7:00pm
November 14th Gilbert 5:30-7:00pm
January 23rd Tempe 5:30-7:00pm
February 20th Gilbert 5:30-7:00pm
What will we do?
The format will include Dinner from 5:30-6:00pm as families. (This time will also allow those parents who work to make it by 6:00 if they are unable to attend the dinner portion.) Then parents will enjoy a guest speaker and faith discussions while the kids do a service project and some fun games. Nursery is available for ages 2 and under, and youth are invited to come help with the project/games.
Why Family Night?
- It provides service opportunities for kids.
- It's offered one Wednesday night every other or month...so even with our busy lives (sports, music, homework, activities, errands, work, school, etc), we are hoping families can commit and get excited about these events!
- Guest speakers are scheduled to come talk about relevant topics like cyber safety, kids coping with grief, nutrition, cooking with kids, etc. We will have time to discuss these things as families and make connections to our faith lives.
- Family Night will be offered at both sites (switching off each time) to get that interconnected piece we strive for between the congregations. We want families/volunteers to commit to these events no matter the location. It’s not as far as you think!
***Parents, youth, and other interested volunteers... we need your help! Come join the fun at Family Nights once a month! Contact Shannon Fossett (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you can help on those nights or behind the scenes before the event.
