** RETURN TO IN-PERSON WORSHIP! **

May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of Godand to the steadfastness of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5

Greetings, Desert Cross! Good news - Arizona met the AZDHS benchmarks that allow us to gather for in-person worship with a reconvening safety plan.

Our first in-person worship is Palm Sunday, March 28th, at 9:00am at both Gilbert and Tempe campuses. Pastor Andrea and Pastor Thadd will each be presiding.

Sign-ups will be released by email on Tuesday, March 23rd for in-person Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter worship. The livestream continues for home worshipers.

Our tentative EASTER in-person worship plans based on the survey are as follows:

  • Easter Gilbert campus: Outdoor worship at 9:00am & 10:30am
  • Easter Tempe campus: Outdoor worship at 9:00am; Sanctuary worship at 10:30am with Livestream

Easter outdoor services at both campuses are BYOC: Bring Your Own Chair!

Final Easter worship details will be released by email on Tuesday, March 23rd with the sign-ups.

Please Note:

  • Reservations are needed to worship in-person.
  • Sign-ups will be released weekly.
  • Mandatory masking, social distancing and safety protocols will be followed as an expression of love and care for each other·
  • Singing can’t happen yet, but our worship directors will lead us in song·
  • Offering baskets will be placed in the entrance of each worship space·
  • Communion will be served on 1st Sundays. Home worshipers may commune with the livestream. Communion kits (including GF) may be picked up outside the worship spaces at both campuses.·
  • Livestream will continue to be provided every week at 9am (except Easter at 10:30am)

We will need an abundance of grace as we gather together again. It is still a worship “experiment” which will change and grow over time. We are starting small and simple and will expand as time goes on and COVID numbers continue to decrease. Everything is different yet we are centered on Christ! The Lord directs our hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

God be with you until we meet again, Pastor Andrea
