Since March 2020 Desert Cross has made operational decisions based on facts. We have clearly followed the guidelines of the CDC and the Arizona Dept. of Health Services. The CDC released new guidelines on 5/13/21 which lift all restrictions for fully vaccinated people. Please read below carefully:

What does this mean for Desert Cross? We can resume many of our normal activities very soon. Due to the abrupt nature of the policy changes, and the logistics required, restrictions will be lifted in phases. Returning to pre-pandemic levels of activity takes careful consideration and some things will change, but we are working as hard as we can to resume activities. It will take time to reassemble our teams and volunteers and rearrange our worship spaces. We thank you for your help, patience, and understanding.

To maintain consistency, unity, and best use of our resources:

Worship continues in Tempe at 9am w/live stream and 10:30am; Worship continues in Gilbert at 9am

Effective Sunday, May 16: Mask Policy Revised

  • If you’re fully vaccinated (2 weeks after 2nd dose Pfizer/Moderna; 2 weeks after 1 dose Johnson&Johnson) you may attend worship without restrictions.
  • If you’re unvaccinated, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines and continue to mask and social distance in order to protect yourself and others. This will be on the Honor System. (If in-person worship is not a good option for you, the 9am live stream is available every week.)
  • Reminder: A mask is not an indication of vaccination status. We understand that fully vaccinated people might choose to continue masking and distancing. Masks are always welcome.

Effective Sunday, May 23 our goal is to remove all restrictions. Sign-ups will discontinue with unlimited attendance. Office and Holy Communion policies are under consideration.

Thank you for helping to make Desert Cross a welcoming and loving place!

Peace in Christ, Pastor Andrea
