Education

Here at Desert Cross Lutheran Church, children, youth, and family are important to us! We want to help our families live out their Baptismal promises. We believe the “passing on of faith” is done in community – there are HUGE benefits to having all generations praying, learning, and growing together. Join us for Faith Formation for all where we will worship, serve, and learn together!

The Education schedule will be as follows:

Tempe:
The Kids will gather in the gym at 8:45 for a quick song and then separate into Pre-K/Kinder and elementary groups to explore the Gospel/theme of the week. "Littlest Lutherans" is also offered at this time, for parents and their children under the age of 3.

Gilbert:
Children will gather in the classroom for a quick song at 10:45 and then move to classrooms (Pre-K/Kinder and elementary) to explore the Gospel/theme of the week. "Littlest Lutherans" is offered at this time too!

*DCLC Serves and Celebrates together:
There are several opportunities for the whole congregation to serve and fellowship together! There is no Education on Service and Fellowship Sundays so that all generations can participate together.  

October 5th: Sundae Sunday

November 2nd: Desert Cross Serves project

February 1st: Desert Cross Serves project

March 15th: Donut Day

We also offer a big service event off campus –
Feed My Starving Children Packing Event is April 25th at the FMSC Tempe site.
