This year we will be doing something a little different this summer. We will be attending MIX; Mix is a Jr. High-only summer camp experience all housed on the Biola’s campus in Orange County!
Biola’s campus rests on the border of Orange and Los Angeles counties, putting students just minutes from all that Southern California has to offer. The beach is merely 25 miles away. Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm are even closer. Campus athletic and recreational facilities include tennis courts, a turf field, and lighted outdoor courts for basketball and sand volleyball. When attendees need to cool off on a sunny California afternoon, Splash Water park is located just across the street. With its tree-lined walkways, red brick buildings, and inviting atmosphere, Biola University is an ideal setting for bringing students closer to the Kingdom of God.
We believe middle school students absolutely have to play. We want to provide the time and space to do that through the classics and some originals: gaga-ball, 9-square, a dodgeball tournament, and The Outer Realm. The Outer Realm is a place where massive group games are played with a range of students – from 300 to 1,200 at a time. Playing in the Outer Realm helps a student connect to their fellow students and adult leaders and create unforgettable memories together. Our prayer is that an experience on the field can lead to better conversations in their group time. MIX will assign your group one of four team colors/mascots a few weeks before your event. While wearing your team color is not required, it’s an excellent way for your students to have fun at MIX!
