Explore Desert Cross

Desert Cross is one congregation that worships at two sites. Both Pastor Andrea and Pastor Thadd preach at both locations. Under normal circumstances, we offer Sunday education at both campuses with teachers who have hearts for sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

Tempe Campus

The Tempe campus has been worshipping for over 30 years. The campus itself has grown and changed during that time. Today, our campus has a large sanctuary, fellowship hall with a kitchen, nursery space, and offices. The community center has more offices, more classrooms, a gym, a stage, and a kitchen. On your way into the sanctuary you will notice our Memorial Garden/Columbarium.

Under normal circumstances, we offer a contemporary Saturday evening worship at 5pm, a traditional Sunday morning worship at 8:30am, and a contemporary Sunday morning worship at 9:30am.

We are currently worshipping on Sundays at 9am & 10:30am with limited in-person capacity (with reservtations). The 9am worship service is livestreamed and then posted on our YouTube channel.

The Gilbert Campus

The Gilbert campus started as a missional project. Desert Cross was approached by the synod and after prayerful thought and a congregational vote, land was purchased and a lease was signed until that campus could be built. Members who worshiped in Tempe commited to worshipping in Gilbert for a year to help establish the worshipping body at this location. Today this campus averages 127 people at worship year round.

Under normal circumstances we gather for contemporary worship on Sunday mornings at 9am.

We are currently worshipping on Sundays at 9am with limited in-person capacity (with reservations). There is a livestream worship service from our Tempe sanctuary available at 9am, which is then posted on our YouTube channel.
